With this blog-craze going around, you might be wondering if a blog is the right thing for you. If you are a job seeker, a blog can be very effective in helping you land your next job. Here are the top 3 reasons having a blog can help you in your job search: For those of you not in the know, SEO stands for “Search Engine Optimization.” In layman’s terms, SEO is a technique used for folks to get to the top of relevant internet search results. With a boatload of employers using Google, job seekers use SEO so that the right information is seen by the right eyes. The easiest ways to boost your SEO is to create content, use keywords, and hyperlinks â€" all parts of just about any blog! After just a small amount of blogging, job seekers can expect their SEO to soar and the right search results to land on top. Ever try to convince someone of something? To start, you need to talk to them. As a job seeker looking to convince an employer, conversation is vitally important. Employers want to hire folks who are committed, passionate, and consistent.
